Day Thirty Five

Surrender…Fear

I need to share. I was looking back on all the days we’ve journeyed through during these past thirty-four days and I was shocked that I never wrote about surrendering fear!

In my opinion, fear is the root cause of why we hold on to what no longer serves us and why we don’t trust. This fear is often unconscious. You have discovered that there are layers of learned behaviors rooted in fear and layers of fearful life experiences unhealed. Over the past thirty four days you’ve had the courage to reveal some of these underlying fears.

You’ve also learned that when you bring awareness to these fears, you can make a conscious choice to transform these fears. You can choose to heal, and you don’t have to do it alone when you ask the Divine for support. You have witnessed, when you practice the power of surrender and you choose to trust, it expands the potential for infinite possibilities, so the Divine can share – a Divine resolution, a Divine healing, a Divine miracle or a Divine outcome.

The key to not living in fear – is to see fear for what it is. This you must take responsibility for and in order to do this, you must face your fears and really look at it and see it for what it is.

I want you to pause and take a couple of breaths. Bring one of your fears to the forefront. Let’s look at it together and see the fear for what it is. Ask yourself and journal …

  • What am I afraid of?
  • Is my fear justified?
  • Is this an imagined fear because of something I experienced in my past?
  • Is this an imagined fear because I am imagining and worrying about the future?
  • Is my F.E.A.R. – False Evidence Appearing Real in the present moment?
  • If I breathe into the present moment is there anything to be afraid of?

Day Thirty Five

Trust…Courage

The opposite of fear is courage, faith and trust.

You wouldn’t be on this journey if you weren’t courageous. Courage comes from within and courage is of the soul. You can heal your fears with courage, faith, and trust.

Courage:

You must be willing to face your fears. As I said above, see fear for what it is. You must feel the fear and face it. This can be accomplished by taking baby steps and dissolving your fear one step at a time. But remember, you must keep going until the fear no longer has a hold on you. Or you can take a big leap of faith and just face it head on.

Pause and reflect back to a time in your life when you were afraid and you had the courage to face your fear. Remember what it felt like to move through it and to overcome it. Is it fair to say that by facing your fear it moved you forward? Are you ready to face another fear so you can be free to move forward in your life or on your spiritual journey?

Faith:

The definitions of faith are – a strong belief in God, a firm belief in something for which there is no proof, and the definition I really love is, complete trust.

Contemplate these choices …

  • Instead of fear you can trust all is well.
  • Instead of fear you can remember you are not alone and you can call out to God (or your personal spiritual guides) and ask for help and support.
  • Instead of fear you can have faith and believe that no matter what, you will be okay.
  • Instead of fear you can grow and have the courage to see what’s waiting for you on the other side of your fear.
  • Instead of fear you can choose to trust yourself and the Divine.

Trust:

I want you to read that last line again – Instead of fear you can choose to trust yourself and the Divine. Did you have an ah ha moment?

When are you going to choose to trust yourself and the Divine? When are you going to surrender the persona of your ego and remember you are a Divine being in a human experience? In truth, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. Fear is just accumulated energy waiting to be dissolved so you can feel free once again.

I want to remind you once again – no matter what, you will always be okay. Fear cannot kill you, because you cannot die. You are an eternal spirit.

Pause. Breathe and reflect upon this – It’s the time of your physical death. Would you have any regrets about living in fear and not having the courage to face your fears?

Do you want the fears of your ego persona to control you or keep you feeling stuck, small, or limited from experiencing a full life?

Are you ready to call forth the courage of your eternal spirit to guide you with trust and faith?

Are you ready to walk hand-in-hand with the Divine as the Divine walks you through the fear and together you dissolve the fear before your very eyes?

Don’t wait any longer. Seize every moment and choose to practice courage, fearless faith, and complete trust.

Day Thirty Five

Reflect and Journal…

Grab your journal or some paper and a pen.

I want you to write at the top of the paper …

“Dearest Divine, help me to release and transform the following fears. I surrender these and any unconscious fears to be healed by the Divine.”

Then just list all your fears both small and big. Take your time and just keep writing until you feel complete.

Then take out a second sheet of paper and write at the top …

“Help me to feel and experience the following ___________ ”

On this sheet of paper, you want to transform and list all of the experiences and feelings you desire instead of the fear. For example, instead of fear you want trust; instead of confusion you want clarity; and instead of insecurity you desire confidence. Note that everything on your new sheet paper should reflect the positive nature of what you want to experience.

When this list feels complete, place it into your physical or virtual surrender box.

Moving forward have faith and trust in yourself and the Divine. Ask for the courage you need (remember Archangel Michael is your Divine helper this week. He is the perfect guide to support you with Divine courage, direction, and miraculously dissolving your fears). Continue to pray and be willing to face your fears. Fear is just accumulated energy waiting to be dissolved so you can feel free once again.
